gridzap

gridzap is an arcade-style game that transports you to a hostile 2-dimensional universe.

murderous robots surround you on all sides. when you blast one, another takes its place ... each more deadly than the last.

play on small grid (easier, best for slower computers)

play on big grid (harder, better for faster computers)

Don't run into enemies.
Recharge cannon by passing over blinking ammunition.

gridzap was developed by mayo-wells media workshop as an exercise in efficient object-oriented flash programming. It wouldn't even be 24K if it didn't have sound. gridzap was inspired by Crossfire, an early 80's Sierra On-line game by Jay Sullivan, which was itself inspired by Exidy's Coin-op game Targ.
